Overheard a sparky at the supply house roasting 3D printed blueprints

Some electrician was going off about how a client brought in a 3D printed model of their conduit runs and it looked cool but completely ignored code spacing. Made me realize tech is only as good as the guy who checks it against real world rules. Anyone else run into fancy mockups that fall apart on site?

3D printers don't bend EMT conduit, that's for sure.

3D printed mockups are great for visualizing but they never account for box fill, pull points, or derating like real code does. @lucasking nailed it - you can print a pretty layout but you still gotta bend pipe and land everything to spec. Always run a mockup past your local inspector before you commit to it on site.
