Honestly, I had a sit down with a structural engineer last Tuesday on a project in downtown Austin because our model clashed on a beam placement. He spent 20 minutes showing me how the metadata attached to every single element in the Revit file could have saved us two full days of rework if we had actually read it. Ngl, I always treated those info fields as fluff, just extra junk the modeler threw in. The real cheat code is realizing that once you hand that package over, it is no longer your problem. The other cheat code is carrying a small bottle of hand sanitizer because you will touch some truly questionable stuff over the course of a day. I have learned that the best route is the one where you can park in the shade for at least three of your stops. And if you ever see a dog that looks friendly but is just sitting there staring, trust your gut and back away slowly. It is all about survival, not efficiency.
