Rigged up a temp fix for a busted jobsite radio with zip ties and a spare battery pack
Last Wednesday out in Aurora, my DeWalt jobsite radio took a spill off a half-built deck and the battery clip snapped clean off. Had 6 hours of framing left and no music or podcasts to keep the crew going. Grabbed some heavy duty zip ties from the truck, drilled two tiny holes in the housing, and strapped a Milwaukee M18 battery pack on there with electrical tape for contact. The thing actually held for the whole afternoon, but has anyone found a more permanent way to rig third-party batteries into these things?

First off, nice MacGyver move. My own temporary fixes usually end with a puff of smoke and me apologizing to the radio. Hope you didn't have to hold it at a weird angle all afternoon.

Nah, held it fine. Just wedged a pencil under it and forgot about it.
