Showerthought: I tried using a drone for a roof inspection on a 1920s house in Cincinnati

I figured it would be a quick way to spot missing shingles, but the thermal camera kept picking up heat from the old chimney flue, making it look like a huge hot spot. I ended up sending a guy up there for nothing. Has anyone else had a drone give you a false alarm on an old building?

HOLD UP. Wait. You're telling me there are houses from the 1920s in Cincinnati? I thought everything there was either brand new or falling down. That's CRAZY. I've never even been to Ohio but I figured all the old buildings got torn down for parking lots or something. Now I'm genuinely curious what those look like. Are they like the creepy old victorian houses you see in horror movies or more like brick bungalows?

Actually, there are tons of them (like, a huge number). That whole area was built up in that era. It's pretty common to find houses from the 1910s and 20s around here. The surprise would be finding a house from after the 1950s in some neighborhoods.
