Spent $800 on a drone for site inspections... worth every penny

I dropped $800 on a DJI Mini drone six months ago to check roof conditions and gutters on house listings instead of hauling out a ladder every time... it paid for itself after the third inspection when I spotted hail damage the buyer nearly missed. Has anyone else switched to using drones for on-site surveys or am I just getting lazy?

Hows the battery life holding up with the Mini? I used to run out of juice mid inspection until I grabbed a couple extra batteries and a car charger. That hailstorm find alone probably saved your buyer thousands, nice catch.

Man, @adams.harper nailed it with the battery tip. I learned that one the hard way too, now I keep three spares in the truck at all times. That hailstorm find was pure luck, but it really did save the buyer a ton of money on a roof they thought was fine. Good call on the car charger, gotta keep the gear ready to go.
