TIL my laser level was off by 1/8 inch for three months before I noticed

I was fighting with a ceiling grid install in a office reno in Nashville, thinking everything was slightly crooked turns out my self-leveling Bosch PLT 2 was the problem the whole time. How do you guys catch calibration drift before it messes up a whole job?

Man, that hurts just reading it. I spent a whole weekend hanging cabinets in my garage only to find out my level was off by a hair... made every single door want to swing shut on its own. Now I just do the old trick of flipping the level end over end and checking the bubble before I trust it on anything important.

Flip the level over and check it again before trusting it on anything important. I learned that one the hard way too, after a crooked shelf made me look like a total hack. Saves a lot of headache and time in the long run.
