TIL the concrete batch plant near my site has been using 30% less water this summer after switching to a new moisture sensor system

The plant manager told me over coffee last week that they saved $2,000 a month just from not overestimating water content, and now I'm wondering if my crew should invest in one for our small job mixes - has anyone else tried retrofitting an older plant with one of those sensors?

Honestly @anderson.jason you might be on to something there, people love to blame gadgets instead of just admitting their process was off. Seems like another excuse to spend money on hardware.
