Wasted $400 on a cheap laser level that drifted after 2 weeks

I bought a no-name laser level off Amazon for site layout and by day 14 the line was off by almost half an inch over 30 feet. Has anyone else had luck with the Bosch or Huepar models holding calibration longer?

Guess you paid for the "drift" option they didn't mention in the ad. That's Amazon specials for you - they work great until the warranty runs out.

Had the same thing happen with a no-name Bluetooth speaker that just stopped holding a charge after three months. I started checking return policies before buying anything now, and I always use a credit card that adds an extra year of warranty coverage. It's annoying we have to do that, but it's saved me on a few of these cheaper finds.
