Finally found a trick for getting my toddler to eat broccoli
I tried everything, dips, cheese, hiding it in mac and cheese. Then my neighbor said call it 'tiny trees' and eat one yourself while making airplane noises. Worked three dinners in a row, anyone else have a weird trick that actually stuck?

The tiny trees trick is legendary, my niece would only eat cucumbers if we called them "green moons" lol. We tried calling broccoli "mini bushes" once and she just stared at us like we were stupid, so your neighbor definitely has the better branding. Kids are basically tiny skeptics who will vibe with one zany name but reject the exact same thing called something else.

...and honestly the airplane noises are the secret sauce, not just the name. I've got a picky three year old and what finally worked for us was calling it "dinosaur food" and pretending to be a T-Rex while eating it. We also did the whole "this is my secret treasure" thing with carrots where I'd act super protective of my plate like a goblin guarding gold, and suddenly she wanted what was mine. Green moons for cucumbers is genius though, I'm stealing that for snack time tomorrow.
