Finally got my kitchen junk drawer sorted after three years of chaos

Honestly, I've been putting it off since we moved into this place in 2021. Last Sunday, I just dumped everything on the table and found three dead batteries, a takeout menu from a place that closed in 2022, and like $4 in change. Took me maybe an hour with some old yogurt containers for dividers. Has anyone else tackled a drawer that bad and found something totally weird in it?

Sorting a junk drawer is basically adulting on easy mode. Three years of buildup and the weirdest thing was some dead batteries? That's pretty tame. Honestly sounds like you just moved some stuff from one spot to another. The real chaos is when you find expired coupons from the last decade or a single mystery key that opens nothing.

You call that chaos? My junk drawer is a time capsule of bad decisions. I found a Blockbuster card from 2004 and three separate takeout menus for places that burned down. The mystery key is probably for a locker at a bus station I visited once in 2009. Sorting it just means I have to look my past laziness right in the face.
