Had to pick between the in-store display laptop and the open-box one...
Went with the display model because it was $40 cheaper, but the 'A' key is all worn down and space bar sticks a little. Now I'm sitting here wondering if saving that cash was worth the constant annoyance of mistyping every 5 minutes like a fool... anyone else regret a deal like this?

You saved forty bucks and you're crying about a sticky space bar? That's a no-brainer. Take ten minutes and pop that keycap off, clean it with some rubbing alcohol and a toothpick. Fixed for free. The worn down A key gives it character like a beat up pair of boots. Meanwhile the guy who paid full price for the open box is dealing with some random person's greasy fingerprints and who knows what kind of weird scratches. You got the better deal and a five minute fix. Stop complaining and go grab a q-tip.

Wait, @ray324, isn't it actually safer to use water or just a damp cloth instead of rubbing alcohol on keycaps? I've heard some keycaps, especially on cheaper boards, can get that coating messed up by alcohol and end up looking worse. You're spot on about the fix being easy though, popping a keycap off and cleaning under it is literally a five minute job. The worn out letter is just patina now, gives it a story. Forty bucks saved is forty bucks, I'd take that deal any day.
