Hit 200 straight days on my step counter and felt kinda weird about it
I got a fitness tracker last January and somehow managed to hit my 10k steps goal 200 days in a row without even trying that hard. Then I realized I've been pacing around my kitchen on nights I just wanted to sit down, just to keep that streak alive. Has anyone else gotten weirdly obsessed with a random number like that?

and then you catch yourself doing laps around the kitchen island at 11pm because your brain decided the streak matters more than sleep. been there with a totally pointless crossword puzzle run, it's wild how fast it becomes a thing.

I used to think streaks were just a silly gimmick until I lost a 47 day run on a language app because I forgot to do one lesson before midnight. @the_kevin your kitchen island story hit me hard because now I'm that guy pacing around my apartment at 10:45pm trying to decide if a 5 minute Spanish lesson is worth messing up my sleep schedule for. It's crazy how something so small can totally take over your brain like that.

Buddy of mine once walked into a glass door chasing his Duolingo streak.
