My coffee maker died on Monday and my whole week felt off
It was a basic drip machine I've had for 5 years. The first morning without it, I tried instant coffee and it was terrible. The next day I spent 15 minutes waiting in line at the cafe, which made me late. I'm debating if I should just buy the same cheap model again for $30, or finally get a nicer one. Has a broken appliance ever thrown your whole routine out of whack?

Five years on a thirty dollar machine is honestly a miracle. Tbh I would have expected that thing to give up after like two. The fact you went straight to instant coffee is the real tragedy here, that stuff is basically brown water. Ngl this whole story is making me nervous about my own cheap coffee pot now.

Five years with a cheap drip machine is a solid run, lol. Honestly, the fact you even tried instant coffee shows true desperation, that stuff is brutal. A broken coffee maker is a legit crisis, it ruins the whole morning vibe. I'd say skip buying the same one and get something a little nicer, you've earned it after that week. My toaster oven died last month and I was lost trying to make frozen pizza.
