My neighbor's 5 year old asked me why I always say sorry for no reason

She said I say sorry when the door swings back at me, when it rains, and when I drop a spoon - and she wanted to know if I actually broke those things. Hit me that I've been apologizing for random stuff my whole life without even thinking about it, has anyone else caught themselves saying sorry for things that aren't your fault?
