Rant: My weird calm from washing one cup for ages
So I was cleaning up after breakfast and just started staring at this coffee mug. I scrubbed it in circles for what felt like forever, totally spacing out. My partner came in and gave me this look like I was nuts. Honestly, I think doing dishes by hand is way better than a machine, even though everyone says I'm crazy. It's just so simple and quiet, plus my hands get all warm.

Honestly that sounds incredibly wasteful to me. All that time spent scrubbing one cup could add up fast, and a dishwasher uses way less hot water than running the tap. You also end up with soggy sleeves and a counter covered in drips, which just makes more cleaning.
