Remember when phone calls actually meant something?
Last week I sat in my truck waiting for a buddy to call me back about helping him move. Three years ago he would have picked up right away. Now I just get a text 5 hours later saying "my bad."

That hit hard man, my friend Dave went through this exact thing. He called his brother for two weeks straight about their dad's hospital stuff and got voicemail every time. Finally got a text that just said "will check later" and nothing else came of it.
