Serious question, does anyone else's air fryer just randomly decide to cook unevenly?

I was super skeptical about air fryers at first but got one last month and it made perfect wings the first three times, then last night half the fries came out burnt and half were still raw, and I haven't changed anything.

Half the basket is always playing by different rules than the other half.

Used to think the whole basket had the same basic rules. Watching how the refs called fouls on my team versus the other team changed that fast. One game, our center got called for breathing on a guy, while their big man was throwing elbows under the rim with no whistle. It's like some players get a different rulebook based on their reputation or size. Hard to unsee once you notice it.

Honestly, "half the basket" isn't really the thing, it's more like certain players get away with stuff others don't. Ngl, reputation and size definitely change the whistle more than the actual basket side.
