The gas pump nozzle clicked off 3 times trying to fill my tank

I was at the Shell station on 12th street yesterday and the pump kept clicking off every 30 cents worth of gas. After the third time I finally realized I was pushing the nozzle in too deep. Pulled it out halfway and it ran smooth the rest of the way. Has anyone else had this happen or am I just that guy now?

Hate when that happens, man. I've definitely done the same thing before, you're not alone lol. Just one of those little tricks you gotta learn the hard way I guess.

Right @ben486, isn't that always the way - I once spent an hour looking for my glasses while they were still on my face.
