The pharmacy tech who asked me if I was sure about my own birthday
Last Tuesday I was picking up a refill at the CVS on 5th and the tech at the counter, younger guy, maybe 22, looks at my info and goes 'You sure this is your birthday?' I laughed because yeah, I'm turning 41 next month, I think I know the date. He said he had to ask because the system flagged it as a mismatch with my insurance. Turned out my insurance file had me listed as born in 1987, which is 6 years off. He caught it, fixed it, took maybe 4 minutes total. But I stood there thinking about how many times I've just accepted what a screen tells me without double checking. That little catch saved me from a headache down the road with coverage. Has anyone else had a random employee catch a dumb error like that and you ended up grateful for their stubbornness?

Wait, so the system had you listed as 6 years younger and that somehow didn't throw a red flag sooner? Like, did your insurance ever send you a birthday card or a discount offer that just felt... off? I'm just wondering how long that mistake was sitting there before this kid happened to look at it. Must make you wonder what else is quietly wrong in all those other files, you know? Like, how many errors are just sitting there waiting for the wrong moment to blow up.
