The week my water heater quit at 5 AM and the dog ate my lunch in the same 12 hours
Last Tuesday started with a cold shower because our water heater gave out overnight, so I stood there for a minute just staring at the wall in defeat. I got to work late with wet hair, then at my desk I opened my lunch bag and found the empty wrapper, because my dog had pulled my sandwich off the counter when I went back inside for my keys. Same afternoon my boss moved our meeting up two hours, and I had to sit through it in damp socks with no food in me. By dinner my wife laughed and said this was just one of those days, but I still don't know how to feel about it. Do you all count a day like that as a wash, or is there some trick to bouncing back the next morning?
