Vent: Found out I was folding fitted sheets completely wrong after 30 years

Saw a video from a hotel housekeeper in Chicago showing you match the corners together instead of trying to fold it flat, and it actually worked on the first try. Did anyone else grow up just balling them up and shoving them in the linen closet?

Wait, so I'm not the only one who spent decades just rolling them into a sad little lump? I saw that same video a few months ago and honestly felt like I'd been lied to my whole life. The corner-matching trick is a game changer, I've got it down now where I can fold a fitted sheet in under a minute. I still have to do it on the bed or a big table though, my lap just doesn't work for it. It's weird how such a small thing can make you feel so much more put together. Now if only someone could teach me how to fold those awkward flat sheets with the curved edges.

lol hold on, I gotta push back on this @the_alice. I actually think the old sad lump method is superior. I tried that whole corner matching thing and it took me way longer than just balling it up. Plus who cares if my fitted sheet looks like a crumpled mess in the closet? Nobody's opening my linen cabinet for a photoshoot. The real problem isn't folding, it's that we're expected to make bed sheets look perfect when they're just gonna get wrinkled again in a week. I'd rather spend that minute doing literally anything else. You do you but I'm team lump forever.
