Vent: That viral hack for cleaning shower heads with vinegar and a plastic bag

I rolled my eyes so hard when my sister told me to bag my shower head with vinegar overnight, thinking it was just another internet gimmick. After 6 months of terrible water pressure in my apartment in Austin, I finally gave in and tried it last Tuesday. Now I'm mad it actually worked perfectly, so what other annoyances have you guys been stubbornly ignoring that turned out to be real?

I mean, the vinegar bag thing is one of the few hacks that actually holds up, but I get why you were skeptical. Most of these cleaning tricks online are just clickbait or end up damaging stuff long term, so it makes sense to be stubborn about trying them. The real annoyance for me is how often we have to sift through all the fake advice just to find the couple things that are legit.
