Finally fixed a 2015 iMac with the screen glue issue, had to pick between a heat gun and a wire method.
The client's iMac had that classic dark shadow at the top from the old glue failing, and I was stuck deciding between using a heat gun to soften the adhesive or the risky wire-pull technique I saw in a forum. I went with the heat gun on low, working slow for about 45 minutes, and managed to get the display off without a single crack. Has anyone else in the shop found one method works better on these older models?

Nice! I used the wire method once and nearly gave myself a heart attack. Your heat gun patience is way better than my shaky hands.

Exactly! It makes me realize how many small tasks quietly test our nerves. I've seen it with people trying to solder a tiny wire or even just using a steady hand to apply a screen protector. That moment of intense focus feels huge, and failing can be so frustrating. It's funny how these little physical challenges show us our own limits. Your wire method story really hits on that feeling.
