Hot air rework station was a total gimmick to me, until I watched a guy fix a laptop board in 4 minutes flat

Ngl, I swore by soldering irons and thought reflow stations were overpriced toys, but seeing one revive a dead GPU connector in under 5 minutes at a shop in Newark made me drop $180 on a proper unit, anyone else have a tool they mocked at first?
