Those market fixes can show you how people solve problems with what they have. It's a different kind of smart, like seeing how a culture thinks about fixing things instead of just throwing them away. Actually that "learned more than any course" thing is risky. Seen some of those market fixes fail after a week because they skip basics. Even @karenmurray's clever wire fix probably left out important safety checks you get from a real manual. Getting quick tricks without the foundation can make a BIG mess later.
