Kid at the library gave me a broken tablet, asked me to fix it in front of him

Met this 10 year old at the Greensboro library last month who handed me his cracked Kindle saying "can you make it work again?". I showed him how to reseat the battery connector and he watched every move quiet as a mouse. Has anyone else had a random stranger just hand you something to fix on the spot?

My buddy Mark from Raleigh had this happen at a laundromat last year. Old dude just walked up and handed him a broken vape pen, like "you look like you know electronics." Mark didn't know what to do but he ended up prying the case open with a butter knife from the break room and found a loose wire. Dude watched him for 20 minutes straight until it was working again.

Same thing happened to me at a gas station... some guy just shoved his dead earbuds in my hand and pointed at the charging port. I scraped out a clump of lint with a paperclip and they worked fine after that.
