Was looking up capacitor failure rates and found something wild

I was digging through some old service reports from a shop I used to work at in Austin, trying to figure out why we saw so many blown capacitors in that one brand of TVs. Turns out the failure rate for those cheap Chinese caps between 2015 and 2018 was like 40% higher than name brands. Found the stat in a repair forum archive from 2019. Has anyone else noticed a shift in quality on newer boards coming out?

Yeah those 2015-2018 caps were notorious, swap them with Panasonics and you'll be golden.

Used to think all caps were the same but those stats changed my mind completely.
