Appreciation post: My book club finally finished that huge series and the talk about the ending was amazing

We spent the last six months reading the 'Wheel of Time' books and met up last Thursday to talk about the finale. I mean, I was so worried it would feel rushed after all those pages, but our whole group got into this deep talk about whether the last battle was worth the build-up. One friend, Sarah, said she cried at the final chapter, which I totally get. Has your book club ever had a finale chat that just clicked for everyone?

Used to think those long series never stuck the landing, but hearing how your group talked about the Wheel of Time changed my mind. My old book club read the 'Dark Tower' books and our final chat was just people listing plot holes. Your story about Sarah crying shows a finale can actually earn those big feelings after a long journey. Maybe the right group makes all the difference.

Congrats on finishing, that's a huge series. Just a small thing, the last book was actually written by Brandon Sanderson after Robert Jordan passed, so the pacing is a bit different from the earlier ones. Glad your group still loved the ending though, those final chats are the best part.
