I finally decided to watch the last season of 'The Good Place' after putting it off for a year.

I picked finishing the show over starting a new one, and that final scene with the wave honestly made me cry for a solid 10 minutes, which is something I never do.

Had a buddy who watched it with his dad right after his grandpa passed. He said they just sat in silence for like twenty minutes after that wave scene, not even looking at each other, just completely wrecked in the best way.

Read an article that called the ending a perfect lesson in letting go. It really stuck with me because the show makes you think about what a complete life even means. That wave scene is the quietest, most beautiful goodbye.

Actually the article I read said it was more about accepting things as they are, not letting go. The wave felt like a full stop, not a goodbye.
