I used to skip series finales because I hated being let down, but after watching the ending of 'The Good Place' last year, I make myself watch them all.

The Good Place finale really set a high bar for endings done right. I used to avoid them too, but now I figure a bad ending can't ruin the whole show for me. It's more about seeing the story through, even if it stumbles at the finish line. Sometimes the disappointment is part of the whole experience.

My buddy quit watching a show after hearing the ending was bad. He missed out on some great episodes just to avoid that "stumble at the finish line" feeling. Now he regrets letting the last chapter spoil the whole book for him.
