Just wasted $80 on a box set that had a terrible finale

I bought this complete series of a show called The Lost Colony on DVD last week for 80 bucks. Everyone online hyped it up as this amazing sci-fi mystery show. I binged all three seasons in like 10 days and the ending was a total cop out. The main villain just disappeared and they left every question unanswered. I feel ripped off because I could have streamed it for free but wanted the physical copies for my collection. Has anyone else bought a full series only to hate how it wrapped up?

Oh man, that's the worst. I bought a box set of some 90s show once and the finale was literally just the main character waking up from a dream (talk about a cop out, right?). At least you can use the DVDs as coasters now, they're good for that.

@uma_baker88 exactly, and the worst part is you can't even sell them because nobody wants a box set with a bad ending. I did the same thing with a show called Dark Horizon - spent like $60 and the finale was literally just static with a voiceover saying "to be continued" that never came.
