My $500 ending fix for a series that fizzled out

I spent $500 on a used copy of the full book set for a series where the TV show ran out of steam. The books had a proper ending with actual closure, way different from the show's vague finale. Has anyone else found the books fix a disappointing TV ending?

Grabbed a used set of the Wheel of Time books after the show lost me in season 2. Completely different ending in the books, way more satisfying and actually made sense of the whole story. Just be careful with older book sets, sometimes the pages are brittle or the binding is loose from sitting on a shelf too long. Check the condition before you buy, especially for series that had multiple print runs like that.

Honestly I thought the show improved on the books by cutting out all that boring middle stuff.

Man idk I get that endings matter but acting like it ruined the whole show seems a bit much, it's still just fantasy fiction at the end of the day.
