Overheard a librarian say book series endings ruin the journey for her
I was at the public library in my town picking up a hold and heard one of the librarians tell a patron that she hates finishing long series because the endings always disappoint her. She said something like 'the journey is great but the landing never sticks.' It made me think about how many shows and books I've loved that just fizzled out at the end. Do you think a bad ending can actually ruin everything that came before it or is the journey still worth it?

Kind of like buying a house and hating the finished kitchen.
