Question about the ending of 'The Good Place' and that final walk through the door

After my grandma passed last month, I rewatched the finale and finally understood that the point wasn't the goodbye, but the peace in choosing when you're truly done, which makes me wonder if anyone else has had a finale hit differently after a real-life event.

The montage just made me more aware of the silence after the last page. It's not a quiet truth for me, it's just quiet.
