My neighbor swore her 'all natural' juice was healthy
We were at a block party in Denver last summer and she handed me a bottle. The front label said 'all natural' and 'no added sugar' in big letters. I turned it over and the ingredient list had 'concentrated fruit juice' as the first thing, which is basically just sugar. I told her that and she got mad, saying the box said it was good for you. Has anyone else had a friend get upset when you pointed out a tricky label?

Wait, she got mad at you for reading the actual ingredients? That's wild. They put "no added sugar" right there while the first thing is basically sugar water. How does that even work? People just see the big words on the front and turn their brains off.

Honestly, why do you think companies keep doing this stuff? Tbh it's not just food labels, it's everywhere now. They know most people are in a hurry and won't look past the big promise on the package. Ngl it feels like they're betting on us being lazy or trusting, and most of the time they're right. It's a little scary how well it works.

Yeah, like when mason said they bet on us being lazy, I just show people the front and back labels side by side.
