Rant: Recently saw a finish made from citrus peels at a demo

I was at a local supplier's demo and they showed a sealant from orange peels. It had a mild scent and dried to a clear coat. Has anyone here worked with citrus-based finishes before?

Seems like another niche product trying to solve a problem that doesn't really exist. Traditional finishes have worked just fine for decades without orange peels. Not sure why this is such a big deal.
